Braun Coffee Maker
The very first coffee maker the Braun Company put on the
market was designed for commercial use. At the time (1963),
percolators were used in homes to brew coffee. The
Braun coffee maker was a "dripolator", which
worked very differently than a percolator and is very much the
standard coffee maker with which most people today are
familiar. The Braun machine was designed with a separate
reservoir for water and another space for the ground coffee
beans. The ground coffee was placed into a filter and the
filter into a basket. Water in the reservoir would be heated to
a specific temperature and then slowly dripped over the coffee
grounds. Coffee brewed in these machines had a robust and rich
taste. It also brewed much quicker than percolator coffee, so
the new style of brewer was a hit with consumers.
The Braun Company was the first company to make us think
differently about coffee and how it is brewed. It took some
time before these coffee makers made it into kitchens
everywhere, but today they are once again on the front line
with excellent home coffee brewers.
The TASSIMO Hot Beverage System by Braun is a completely new
way to prepare gourmet coffee to your taste right in the
comfort of your own home. If you enjoy morning coffee made by
your local barista, TASSIMO will brew coffee that mimics the
gourmet coffee house coffee at the touch of a button. TASSIMO
makes lattes, cappuccino, tea, hot chocolate, and café crema in
addition to your favorite flavor of coffee. T-DISCS are used
exclusively with the TASSIMO system. Each disc contains the
perfect amount of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The brewer
reads the bar code on the disc and then automatically uses the
correct amount of water, the right temperature and brewing time
to create the perfect cup of coffee, all in about one minute.
You can brew one cup of coffee right after another, each
customized to your taste. Removable parts are dishwasher safe,
so clean up is a breeze.
The Braun KF600 Impressions 10-Cup Thermal Coffeemaker with
brushed stainless steel is a smaller, but fast brewing system.
Features of this coffee maker include automatic shut off, a
gold screen coffee filter, and drip-stop capability. The slim
design allows for a great fit under most cabinets. It's simple
to use with just one button to push once the water and ground
coffee has been placed into the maker. The soft grip handle
makes it easy to pour and serve. You'll have 10 cups of hot
coffee in less than 10 minutes. The stainless steel,
double-wall carafe keeps coffee warm for several hours. This
model also utilizes an exclusive Brita water filter in order to
prevent calcification inside your coffee maker and to reduce
your chlorine intake. As a result, your coffee tastes
better!
Braun offers several other coffee makers as well. The machines
vary in size from brewing 2 cups at a time all the way up to 12
cups at a time and several sizes in between. Other features
found on Braun coffee makers are digital clocks, pause and
serve features and dishwasher safe parts for easy cleaning. Any
décor is complimented by one of Braun's coffee makers since
they come with accents in black, white, blue, red, white and
even stainless steel. Prices for these coffee makers range
quite a bit, so just about every budget could accommodate a
Braun coffee maker.
