Best Single Cup Coffee Brewers
Just because you only want one cup doesn't
mean you want coffee that is anything less than perfect. That's
why you are looking for the best single cup coffee brewers. But
before you run out and buy the most expensive brand on the
market, there are some things you should consider
first.
Obviously you want to make sure you have the room for your
new machine. Granted most single cup coffee machines are
relatively compact and will fit nicely on to any counter area.
But make sure (especially if you are buying for your home) that
the machine is out of reach of youngsters. The last thing you
want is someone to get burned because their young hands could
reach the machine.
You probably thought that because the name
is "single cup" that the machine was capable of producing only
one cup of coffee at a time. Not true, at least not for all of
them. Take into account that many single cup coffee brewers can
actually produce two smaller cups, or one rather large cup. A
standard cup of coffee is only 8 ounces, and most machine can
actually produce twice that amount, meaning you'll get two cups
for each brew. If you truly only want one 8 ounce cup most of
the time, this may be too much. Check the capacity of the
machine before you buy.
One final thing to think about. Do you mind not being able
to use regular coffee grounds with a filter that is reusable?
Many of the best single cup coffee brewers will require you to
purchase pods for your coffee. Some people don't like this,
others claim this is the best way. The truth is, there is no
right answer. Either way you'll get a great cup of coffee. But
if it means that much to you be sure you get the system that
makes coffee by your preferred method.
One final piece of good news. Most of the best systems on
the market are not the most expensive ones. You can even get
one for your home and another for your office. Get one that
uses pods and another that uses reusable filters. If you try
both you quickly find out which system you like best.
