Let’s face it, you can have the freshest most aromatic coffee beans and you still won’t have a great cup of coffee is your coffee maker is not up to the task. It’s like a partnership. Coffee makers are nothing without the right beans, and great coffee beans still won’t taste good if they are not brewed correctly. But when it all comes together, for coffee lovers like us, it’s close to heaven on earth.
We admit it, we are a little bit fanatical about our coffee. But we also know we are not alone. My personal favorite is for a single good cup of espresso. Once I’ve had that the rest of my day just falls into place. But the coffee you prefer is irrelevant here. We have family members who would die for a great cup of cappuccino, and would perish the thought of getting one at their local convenience store. Even when we travel, they simply refuse to drink any old coffee. Vending machine coffee… blech.
We have friends who prefer any gourmet flavored specialty coffee, with french vanilla being a particular favorite. They just can’t make it through the day without at least one or two good mugs. The point being, there is no best coffee. It’s a matter of personal taste. And when it comes to coffee, taste is what matters most.
But the one thing we all agree on is that if it’s not brewed in a quality machine, it loses something. Thankfully there are many good machines on the market. Braun, Bunn, Cuisinart, DeLonghi, Keurig, Krups and even Hamilton Beach all put out a quality product. All have their own special way of brewing, many with patented features. Some will even include a grinder. No more pre-ground coffee needed.
Take a good look at what each one has to offer. Decide for yourself which one best suits your needs. Then add your favorite beans and relax with a perfect cup of coffee every time. And if there’s a coffee lover on your gift list, consider giving them a gift they’ll love. Remember, only great coffee makers can make perfect coffee.
